Hybrid classes!

Our 1st hybrid class was June 24. All were pleased with the results. My plan is to have all the zoom classes still in operation but those who wish to come in to the studio will be able to do so. The zoom and the in-person will be at the same time.  If you like to use props please bring them in, there will be no extra pads to put under your mats and no blankets or pillows.  Hope to see you soon on the zoom or in person. If you have any questions on how this works, feel free to contact me.

All restrictions have been lifted.

We do not have to be 6 ft. apart, which means we are able to have a few more yogi’s in the room.  It would be helpful to all if you are vaccinated.  (If not vaccinated it would be a good idea to bring a mask to protect yourself).  FYI-We will be sanitizing the floors after each class, if the bathroom is used it will also be sanitized for your protection. Hand sanitizer will be located in several places.

What to bring to an in-person class.

Since many of the props that were provided before covid-19 will no longer be available.  So consider bringing your own little pillow, a large towel or a throw blanket, block(s), & strap. If you have tender knees you might consider a pad (garden).

Did you see the PBS special on Improving Memory?

These were 6 Memory Boosters mentioned on the show I thought to pass on.   1)Pay attention (mindfullness), 2) Movement – even if only 10 min. a day, 3) Sleep 7-9 hrs. a day,  4) Joy conditioning – focus on the joyful times not the sad times, 5) Meditation start with 5 min. a day, and 6) Life-long learning – study a new language, learn to play an instrument, read or listen to Audio books.

We exercise the body, but we need to exercise the brain too. The show also emphasized doing Brain Games either on the computer or phone.
